The Todd Roeske Family - Alaska Mission for Christ
Todd and Kim Roeske arrived in Alaska in 2006 (from their former mission in the Philippines), and are centered in the Copper River Basin which includes the mission church at Copper Center. There are currently 14 Alaskan LCMS congregations. Todd is the Coordinator of Ministries. The ministry uses many volunteers to carry out its energetic programs, such as VBS, Sports Camps, Addiction Support Groups, Hammer and Nails projects and other programs that share the love of Jesus. They are totally supported by the gifts of worldwide Christians, and are always looking for long and short volunteers for the programs. Todd also serves as pastor of Mt. Drum Lutheran Church in Copper Center. Previously, Todd served as an Evangelistic Missionary Church Planter in Mindanao, Philippines for 12 years, and continues to make two trips a year to Asia to continue to encourage the churches that the Lord planted while Todd was there. He also served as Program Director at Camp Lone Star in LaGrange, Texas, as well as spending a year traveling with his wife on a muic ministry team in East Africa. It is his, and Alaska Mission for Christ's, goal that every erson in Alaska has the opportunity to know the Good News of Jesus.
